I just bought a ‘96 Cougar with the 4.6. Same engine/trans, but a coupe, and 4 wheel independent suspension. So it handles well and still has a great ride. Went through and repaired everything that was needed. I have a total of $3.5K in it. It does need paint, but I’ll do that myself, should be $4K when it’s done.

Thanks for this video very informative. I bought the unit and love it but one thing that bothers a lot is the unit is displaying 8:30 and my speedometer clock is showing 20:30. Do you happen to know a fix? Thanks in advance

Jack of all trades but master of none, most of the time is better than a master of one. Great vid brother. The 16 point 14mm socket didn't work for me, so I used a 15mm Snap-On bolt extractor socket. ( since I did not have the key ). My hoist looks like yours, and it worked great. Slow and small increments turning be hand, 1/2" extensions and ratchet.

HealTech has made one for years, apparently, with 10 modes. I discovered it while looking at their *Thunderbox* , which looks really awesome for me. Just getting a 22 CB500X, and have lots of electronics to add. Has this worked out for you exactly as planned? Any downsides or negatives so far?

I have the 9in version (HZ145N4), are you plugging the drive into the corded USB or one of the USB ports on the back?

Thanks so much for the video, very helpful. I installed the 9 inch android 12 unit and bought the USB integration harness, I have a problem with the zlink apple CarPlay though over usb. It says "connection failed, try another usb port", which usb port did you plug the integration harness to? are there any other steps you needed to take? thanks for the help your videos are the best. Right now I'm just using wireless CarPlay but being able to use the usb CarPlay would be nice to have.

My brothers Vtc actuator failed at 40K miles. Out of warranty so the dealer wouldn't do anything. We got screwed by this car. 2014 Ex-L

Thanks for this! I was going to get the 10" one but it turned out my EXL screen is fine. The issue is with AA. After Google did some updates, it stopped working half of the time. Recently I tried it with CarPlay and it has NO issues. So I'm going use CarPlay until it stops working... however 10" would be nice upgrade to the tiny 7" screen.... decisions... decisions lol...

dude where did you get that awesome seat for the hawk? it looks sooo much more comfortable, then the original ones i just got into these motorcycles purchased a 2023 hawk X 250 last week and i love it, everything about the bike just not the seat lol! it sucks after 30 minutes of driving.

I saw on Amazon those BougeRV Yuma Flexible Solar Panels and wonder if those would work better for aerodynamics on the roof in that area. And as for the funnel, I just take the dishes out of the sink first. lol

I have done this numerous times. Everytime I have taken it to the dealer I ask them to fix it. Still not correct. Had extended warranty. Was good for bad issues but they never have fixed the adjustment issue. I think the cables have stretched so lining it up like you show doesn't work.

Also chiming in: I installed the 9" head unit for a 2015 CRV EX recently. I did not need to splice any wires to get both the passenger mirror camera and backup camera working: just worked with the included harness. I replaced the stock GPS unit with the included one, and stuck it to the same metal plate, beneath the upper display. I got 1 out of 2 of the USB ports working in the center console with a toyota USB retention adapter. There were two connectors for USB cables in the stock harness (as far as I know), one green and one grey. The adapter was correct for the gray one, but I haven't found one for the green cable (and I probably won't be pulling the stereo out again to try)

I have a 2013 same color ,it does it too. It's not bad. Get in there and stretch that spring on the vtc. No damage has been done. Just drive the dam thing.

How did you wire the engine to start when you push the gas pedal?

I remember back in the late 1970's Honda advertised "We make it simple". When I was station in Japan in the 1980's-2000's, a Japanese friend of mine that worked for Honda said "after the founder passed thing changed quickly, for the worse". Toyota CEO admitted a few years ago they had quality problems too. The Japanese car companies are going down the same path that American car companies did starting back the 1960's. "Just put it out there, they will buy it".

My 2017. 2.4 engine does use oil, which is disappointing, about 1 quart every 3 months. Other than that it's a decent car but pales in comparison to my 1992 Honda Civic, 5 speed.

Ford charges $250 for this option.

Not sure what I am doing wrong. I may be extracting/unzipping incorrectly. The files do not look fully unzipped like they look in the photo on the instructions. I am using a 32 GB drive and it is FAT32. From what I have read, FAT32 just means 32GB so not sure why a 32GB wouldn't work. After I extract the files and put them on the thumb drive, I plug it into the unit, it detects the thumb drive, but nothing happens after that. I do not get a prompt. Any suggestions? What unzip software did you use? I used winzip and 7-zip and got the same results. It doesn't look like all files are unzipped.

Hey so I’ve had this head unit for almost a year, and for the past couple months it’s been fully rebooting every time I start my car again rather than just turning on right away. Has anyone had that issue and if so how did you solve it?

Just finished setting this unit...I think they send me the wrong wiring ,the antena plug don't fit , they are 4 wires left that I have no idea if they need to be plug-in....Android auto wire or wireless don't work

Love this build! I'm definitely going with the 159wb, the 170s are too scary for me to drive, LOL! Only changes I would make to this is to eliminate the storage cabinet under the extra seat and put a slide out platform so that the cassette toilet could go on it and slide in and out (and put a door) to shower and not have to take it out. I would then also add cabinets on the other wall of the bed for more storage. And I'd add a cat door under the bed and put the litter box in the "garage/basement" for my kitties! :) I do wish the fridge wasn't on the ground though....I hate bending over, I need to find a way to put it up higher but not sure where. I'd also add another flip up counter extension that would be by the door extending the counter on the left side of the sink. Love that you were able to do store bought cabinets! I add cabinets above the dining table too and probably switch the fan and A/C unit places, this way the fan could ventilate while cooking and I need AC on me when sleeping. And a microwave is a must! I retire from teaching in 3 years and will be 55 at that time. I have a 3 year goal of buying a van and taking time to build it and then off I go!

That setup looks weak. Leaf spring to the A-arms puts load on all the bushings.

I mean, overall excellent. I think the Achilles’ heel of the pro master, is the relative difficulty of installing a second alternator. In the transit, it is much more easier to do something like that. Especially when it comes to the use of high electrical builds. I disagree though, I think the pro master is much easier to service. The entire front clip can be easily removed with easy access to the motor. The Pentastar tick that was mentioned is indeed an issue, but if you’re a higher end DIY mechanic, it can be addressed. Also, the oil changes in the pro master can be done with the extraction method. The oil filter is on the top. There is some discussion of using 0w30 to mitigate the risk of rocker arm failure. Plus there is a super high roof option now. The Europeans have significant experience on the Ducato platform. As well as the transit, but the European platform is typically on the Ducato/Promaster. My 2c.
